Born out of necessity to help surfers everywhere get their surfing questions answered objectively and in a timely manner.

This site is not a blog.  The answers to all your surfing questions will be answered by Kali ‘da Big Kahuna’ Montero who is one of less than a handful of Kumu Kahuna O’ He’e Nalu in the world today who mentored under the legendary Duke Paoa Kahanamoku, Father of Modern Day Surfing.  (see Kali’s bio in the About tab of this site)

Da Big Kahuna was the founder and moderator for the highly successful and recognized ‘Ask da Big Kahuna’ Q/A forum on a South Florida surf store website for the last 10 years with thousands of questions answered expertly and in a timely manner.  After a change in management the store felt this FREE and expert source of information concerning all things surfing was not needed.

Due to the hundreds of emails from former users and visitors requesting the return of this successful forum it was found the need was there.  A commitment was made to revive the Ask da Big Kahuna forum with a new look and to offer stores and businesses everywhere an opportunity to team with us to provide an expert source of all things surfing to help you learn, grow and enjoy this Sport of Kings.
